TOURNAMENT RULES AND REGULATIONS |
|
- Player profile - Only
bonafide and full time employees of the
participating company are eligible to
represent their team. Any team-fielding
players, who are not fulltime employees
of the company, would be removed from
the tournament.
- Player profile - No contract
employees, outsourced employees, part
time workers in any capacity can play
for the corporates.
- Player profile - All the team
members playing 11 + 1 substitute should
compulsorily show their Original ID
before the start of each match, failing
which the players will not be allowed to
play. All teams are requested to adhere
to this mandatorily.
- Each match would comprise 20 overs a
side subject to weather/ground
conditions.
- Organizers, Gevents will provide the
match balls.
- All match rules shall be subject to
weather/ground conditions and the
organizers shall modify the playing
terms suitably.
- Bad Weather - In case a match
is delayed owing to bad weather or other
unavoidable circumstances, it would be
left to the discretion of the umpires
officiating and organizers of the match,
to reduce the number of overs to be
played by each side.
- Bad Weather - A minimum of 5
overs a side will constitute a match.
- Bad Weather - In case one
side has played the full quota of overs
before bad weather or other unavoidable
circumstances delay the start of the
opposing team's innings, it would be
left to the discretion of the umpires
officiating in that match to decide the
number of overs that would be taken into
consideration for deciding the match.
However, in case the team batting second
does not get any over to play, the match
would be abandoned and declared a draw
with the two teams sharing one point
each.
- Time restrictions - The
allotted 20 overs should be bowled
within 85 minutes of the first ball
bowled. Each over bowled after the
stipulated 85 minutes would incur a
penalty of 8 extra runs to be added to
the score for each such over.
- Bowling restrictions - Each
bowler is permitted to bowl a maximum of
4 overs or 1/5 of total overs per match
as decided by the umpires.
- Fielding restrictions- for
the first 6 overs a minimum of 7
fielders other than the bowler and
wicket keeper have to be inside the
30-yard circle. Thereafter a minimum of
4 fielders has to be inside the 30-yard
circle at any time in the innings.
- In the event of two or more teams
having the same number of points in the
league phase, the net run rate of each
of the teams will be taken. The team
with the better net run rate will go
through to the next round.
- Calculation of Net run rate -
In case any team is all out before the
stipulated quota of overs, the full
quota of overs would be taken into
consideration for calculating the net
run rate.
- Knockout stage - In the event
of a Draw/tied match in any of the
Quarterfinals or Semis or the Finals
(all matches in knockout stage), the
winner will be decided by Bowl out.
- Knockout stage - In the event
of an abandoned match in any of the
Quarterfinals or Semis or the Finals
(all matches in knockout stage), the
winner will be decided by spin of coin
by the Captains in presence of Umpires.
- Knockout stage - If no result
has been arrived at, the winner will be
the one with better-run rate (in a
minimum of 5 overs). Otherwise it will
be decided by spin of coin by the
Captains in presence of Match Umpire
- Knockout stage - If the team
batting second does not get a minimum of
5 overs, the match shall be decided by
the spin of coin by the Captains in the
presence of the Umpires
- All the matches will be officiated
by KSCA affiliated umpires and the
decision of the umpires would be final
and binding on both the teams.
- G event will not be responsible for
any loss of life, or injury to players
in course of the match/tournament.
- Request for postponement and/or
shifting of matches shall not be
entertained after the teams have given a
concurrence for the ties by the team
captains.
- Disputes and Complaints - Any
disputes/complaints by a team will have
to be formally reported with the match
umpire immediately upon completion of
the match.
- Misbehavior - Any unruly
behavior on the part of the players will
lead to immediate disqualification of
the player for the subsequent matches
and more than 2 such occurrence in the
team will lead to the team being
disqualified from the tournament, with
no refund of the entry fee.
- Both the teams to be present at the
venue 30mts before the start of the
match. If any team fails to arrive
within 30mts after the start time it
will be adjudged as a walkover in favor
of the team present on time.
- The Organizing committee will
clarify any aspect, which is not already
covered, when the teams or umpires put
it forward to them and the committee’s
decision is final and binding.
- Remaining all rules of the
international T20 format will be
applicable.

Any loss of time due to retrieval of balls,
change of implement, medical attention,
shall be reduced from the total duration of
the innings for the purpose of slow over
rate penalty. |
